Daily Workout - Chest in Home Gym with Total Gym

Summer time is an interesting time. There are so many distractions... The last few days we had a party for my wife's work and so there where things to do to get ready and then there was the day of, and then there was the day after which was a bit of a recovery day... I'm not trying to make excuses but at least for me I find that I take a bit more time off from my workouts but in a way I do OK because surprisingly when I get back to my workouts, I feel strong and the few days off don't seem to effect me too much.

  • Warmup: Eliptical for 10 minutes.
  • Bench Press with Total Gym.
  • Flies with Total Gym.
  • Arm Raise Flies with Total Gym.
  • 3 Stage Pushups: Planche, Extended, and Regular.
  • Misc. Stretching.

Total workout time: About 1hour.

Not much to say about todays workout, still fighting a bit of a cold that is making me feel a bit non-motivated about doing workouts, but the best thing to do is just get in the gym and start doing something...

  • Warmup: Punching Bag for 10 minutes.
  • Bench Press with Smith Machine.
  • Pulley Flies.
  • 3 Stage Pushups: Planche, Extended, and Regular. (Back seemed OK with this)

Total Gym Upper Body Workout Overview

If you have read my other posts, you've probably figured out that I'm a BIG Total Gym fan-boy. Seriously, if I could only have one workout device in my gym, the Total Gym would be it! It's just so diverse, easy to use and quick and easy to get a good workout done in, very little time. And you can build muscle with a Total Gym, maybe not scary muscle but for most of us that isn't the goal. Personally I have excessively used the Total Gym for a three month test period to see if I could actually gain muscle starting from a stage when I had regressed over the holidays. And I was in fact able to put the muscle back on and get in shape just using a ToTal Gym without any other workout gear!

These videos focus on doing a Total Gym upper body workout. It's mainly a quick overview of the Total Gym workout routine that I use in my own home gym. I go over several upper body exercises that I do to workout my Chest, Back, Shoulders, Arms, and Abs. I hope you enjoy it!

Daily Workout - Chest in Home Gym with Total Gym

My Last YouTube Video "The Most Important Workout Technique You'll Ever Learn" took a long time to do! I didn't really think it would take so long but there ended up being a lot of stages: Scripting, and audio recording, and editing the audio, and then adding all the images... I spent several weeks working on it in my spare time. I hope people take the time to watch it because it really has helped me to stay fit and on track to fitness in my 40's.

That said I plan to focus now on videos that showcase exercises using the Total Gym. So stay tuned and see why I like this little inexpensive workout machine so much.

  • Warmup: Eliptical for 10 minutes.
  • Bench Press with Total Gym.
  • Flies with Total Gym.
  • Arm Raise Flies with Total Gym.
  • 3 Stage Pushups: Planche, Extended, and Regular.
  • Abs: Crunches x 100.
  • Misc. Stretching.

Total workout time: About 1hour.

Daily Workout - Chest in Home Gym

I went to my Chiropractor today for another visit (Second one) and she didn't have to do too much! She said I was good for a while now and could come back in a month or two for a minor maintenance adjustment. I have to say before this recent session, I was not a Chiropractor fan. When I was in my early twenties I had what you would call a very bad experience and swore I would never go back and see another chiropractor. So for years I have lived with moderate back pain. As it looks now this may have been for nothing!

Anyways, today I did a very late Chest workout (After midnight).

  • Warmup: Elliptical.
  • Bench Press with Dumbells.
  • Incline Dumbbell Press Flies.
  • 3 Stage Pushups: Planche, Extended, and Regular.
  • Abs: Side Twists.
  • Misc. Stretching.

Total workout time: About 1 hour.
