Daily Workout - Chest in Home Gym with Total Gym

Back to the Total Gym cycle. It's a nice change! Took my time today but got it done...

  • Warmup: Eliptical for 12 minutes.
  • Bench Press with Total Gym.
  • Flies with Total Gym.
  • Forward Arm Raise Flies with Total Gym.
  • 3 Stage Pushups: Planche, Extended, and Regular.
  • Abs: Seated side twists with Total Gym.
  • Misc. Lower Body Stretching.

Total workout time: About 1hour.

Daily Workout - Legs at Fitness World

Today I have a soar throat and I wasn't planning on doing a workout but someone else wanted to head over to Fitness World for a workout so along I went. It wasn't too bad, I only did about 40 minutes worth and no Cardio or Abs, just legs today!

  • Squats with Squat Machine.
  • Calf Raises with Seated Calf Machine.
  • Leg Extensions with Universal Leg Extension Machine.
  • Leg Curls with Universal Leg Curl Machine.

Total workout time: About 40 minutes.

Daily Workout - Arms in Home Gym

Today was a basic Arms workout, I did my Elliptical after today as I wasn't sure if I would get to it!

  • Biceps: Dumbbell Curls - three sets
  • Biceps: Pulley Bar Curls - three sets
  • Triceps: Overhead Single Barbell Press - 2 sets
  • Triceps: Pulley extensions - 3 sets
  • Abs: 100 Crunches.
  • 12 Minutes of Elliptical at end of workout.

Total workout time: About 1 hour.

Daily Workout - Shoulders & Punching Bag in Home Gym

I tried going to Fitness worlds today with the family and dropping the kids of with their daycare but unfortunately  the daycare only went till about 1pm, so we missed it my about 4 hours :) Still no excuse to not workout. The kids already got their workout at Gymnastics today so I plopped them in front of the TV and put on my Wii Netflix channel which gave me all the time wee needed to do my workout!

  • Shoulder Press with Smith Machine.
  • Barbell Shoulder Flies in Three Positions: Forward, Side, Behind.
  • Upright Row Raises with Pulley.
  • Shoulder Shrugs with Smith Machine Straight Bar.
  • Abs: Misc Crunches.
  • Misc. Stretching.
  • Punching bag for 10 minutes

Total workout time: About 1 hour.

Daily Workout - Back in Home Gym

Winter is a bit of a downer, it's dark at around 4pm and my body just wants to really do nothing except take it easy. Even so, you just have to get yourself in the gym and at least do something. I generally put on a few pounds in the winter but the key is to not let it get out of hand, so when spring comes along it only takes a bit to shed the few pounds gained over the winter.

My main goal is to try and keep the muscle on so my metabolism stays higher - so if I only have the energy for weights and not cardio then I just do weights that day! Today was one of those days!

  • Elliptical - I looked at it for 10 seconds!
  • Wide Chin-ups with pulley bar.
  • Narrow Chin-ups with pulley bar.
  • Seated Rows with pulley bar.
  • Abs: Misc Abs - Crunches and Leg Raises.
  • Misc. Stretching

Total workout time: About 45 minutes.
