Daily Workout - Chest & Back in with Total Gym

Got some more workouts in, and it's been a busy week. I have been installing a new fridge and a new Washer and dryer. They weren't really in the plan but a deal came my way and I jumped on it. The only problem was that my fridge ended up being a bit too tall and so the upper cabinet had to come out and get converted into a shelf unit. That and the new water line for my ice machine and built water dispenser and what should have been a few hours turned into an all day job.

The next days was spent installing my washer and dryer. And of course my actual work had to get fit i somewhere in amongst all that. The joys of working at home!

I did manage to get a chest and back workout in with my Total Gym so it could have been worse I guess. Hopefully I am back to my regular routine again...

Daily Workout - Arms at Home Gym

I got a nice full Arms workout in today. I even got some Cardio, Abs and Stretching in. I took it pretty easy on the Cardio as it's been a long time since I did any Elliptical work!!

  • Biceps: Pulley Bar Curls - three sets
  • Biceps: Dumbbell Curls - three sets
  • Triceps: Pulley extensions - 3 sets
  • Triceps narrow pushups - 3 sets
  • Abs: Misc leg raises
  • 6 Minutes of Elliptical at end of workout.

Total workout time: About 1 hour.

Daily Workout - Shoulders at Home Gym

 

Just catching up on my posts here. I did a Shoulders workout a few days ago but didn't have time to post it. And then the next day I had a little visit with my dentist to get two of my Wisdom teeth pulled. What fun that is, especially when my back lower teeth do not like to totally freeze. The dentist did a good job of numbing me up most of the way but I could still feel it :( And I get to go back in a few weeks to hit the other side of my mouth. The only good news about that is that I already had one of them pulled several years ago and all I have left to do is the top one which if you're a dentist, then you know it's the easier of the two wisdom teeth to pull.

I said all that because I had strict instructions from my dentist to not workout for a few days or I could start my gums bleeding again. I really haven't had much pain and I was expecting some because my dentist had to drill some of my jaw away to get the bottom wisdom tooth out. He said I have a jaw made out of steel :)

Daily Workout - Chest & Back in Home Gym

Again I have still been at the workouts even thought they haven't been super intense, I am at least getting in and getting them done. My last two workouts I have been ramping up the weights just a bit, using free weighs and pushing a bit harder on my last set. I know it's working because I have been a bit soar afterwards. By soar I mean the healthy tenderness you get a few days after a workout.

Over the last few days I did Chest and Back, chest was mostly done using my bench with dumbbells and different incline levels, finishing off with a mix of pushups. Back was done using my universal machine and doing some pull downs with various grips and finishing off with rows.

Daily Workout - Shoulders & Arms with Total Gym

Again, another couple of Total Gym high-rep workouts done over the last few days to get the old body back into the routine :) It's going well and is a good way to get back into the swing of things as I find the Total Gym lets me get in and out of the gym very quickly while still getting a great workout.

It takes me a bit longer to do my Shoulders because for me this is an area I need to work a bit harder to see the results. The Arms portion only takes me about 20 minutes to do. I finished both my Shoulders and Arms workouts off with some Total Gym Ab exercises.
