GetFitOver40 Update Video - Human Trainer and Upcoming Fitbit Flex Review

Here's a bit of an update and preview video all in one for you. First of all I did shoot my Fitbit Flex Wristband Movement and Sleep Tracker Review Video today but still need to edit and post it so hopefully I can have this for you later in the week, It is not a comparison video to my Jawbone Up but I do make a few cross references to it during the video review. So stay posted for that one...

I was so excited to try my Human Trainer Suspension System that late last night I gave it a go and got a really great workout in, I have to say it really does give a good workout, even with my limited knowledge of how to really get the most out of it at this point. SO in this video I show you a few exercises I learned last night while testing it out, again keep posted for my upcoming review of the " The Human Suspension Trainer System"

The Human Trainer Suspension Body Weight Resistance Training System

Over the weekend I picked up a "The Human Trainer" Suspension Body Weight Resistance Training System from my local fitness store. I actually went there to grab some wrist straps for my Crossfit classes and the Human Trainer system caught my eye, the store also happened to be dong a promo on it that was basically the "Essentials kit" bundled with the Ceiling Mounts and Versatility Anchors. The whole setup was pretty much half price so I had to do it ;) I also picekd up the Olympic Rings at the same time.

If you don't know what a Suspension Body Weight Resistance Training System is, I will be making some videos in the near future using this setup once I get the "hang" of things, sorry for the pun...

Fitbit Flex Wristband Movement and Sleep Tracker Unboxing

Well I finally got my long awaited Fitbit Flex Wristband Movement and Sleep Tracker! It is very nice and in a way I like the way it looks and feels on my wrist a bit better than my Jawbone Up, maybe the flashing lights have something to do with it ;)

This is an unboxing video and not a review so stay posted for my full video review of the Fitbit Flex and also a comparison video review that I will make between the Fitbit flex and Jawbone Up.

First time going to a Crossfit Gym - Crossfit Langley

Today I went to a Crossfit Gym, since it was a Friday we all kind of took it pretty easy and it was a short 40 minute workout, I guess many of the regulars workout 5 days a week or more here and so Friday is the end of the week kind of easy day. We did a variety of floor strength excersises that included pushup and situp variations along with some low to the ground lunge type moves. We also did mixed in 5x400 meeter runs, all in all I probably burned about 400 - 500 calories and got a good sweat going.

Their website is cmamartialarts.com but they are working on a new website as they are getting away from the martial arts side of things and have now gone to all Crossfit. I bought a month all-you-can-eat membership to give this new rather close to me location a go and see what I can get out of some Crossfit training...

Arm Workout Using Dumbbells

Continuing along with my Upper Body Dumbbell Work Series, today I bring you my Dumbbell Arm workout video. Most of the exercises I show you I do in the seated position just to keep myself centered and on camera but you can also do them standing if you don't have a workout chair or even a regular chair that works for you.

A couple paris of Dumbbells are a great investment in your health and will last a lifetime, you can also start with a set that can be used for a variety of exercises and as you get stronger and get more divers in your workout routines, you can add to your dumbbell set over time.
