Road to Vancouver Island Showdown 2021 - 6 Weeks Out Check In

Here we are 6 weeks out from the Vancouver Island Showdown 2021, the last couple of weeks have been mainly focused on adding a bit of size while losing a little bit of fat. Kind of like a mini bulk to jump start my body for the contest prep. My best shows have always been when I grow into a show, meaning I add muscle while cutting rather than do a traditional bulk well ahead of a show and then try and lose all the excess body fat (generally more than normal) leading into a show.

I am for sure up several pounds from 8 weeks out and I know I have lost a bit of body fat, perhaps about 1-1.5% but I have also gained some water in the short term since my diet has not been super clean focused, eating more carbs than I would normally have be doing in a traditional cut up until this point.

That said I have for sure gained muscle, I can see it and I can feel it in the gym! The goal now is to continue to grow into the show but get a bit more aggressive on the fat loss by eating less calories as is always the case. My goal will be to be around 1000 calories under each day Monday to Friday with a bit higher calories on the weekends but still under budget by around 500 or so. This should lead to around 1 1/2 to 2 pounds fat loss per week which in 6 weeks should drop me around 10 pounds of body fat which should be close to the target and get me right around 190-195 pounds depending on how much actual muscle I gain by then.

Take a look at the comparison photos between 8 weeks out and 6 weeks out, you can really see the size but it is hard to see any real fat lose changes mainly because of the water gain, alos the the lighting and cameras where different so that makes it hard to tell too.

Road to Vancouver Island Showdown 2021 - 8 Weeks Out Check In

So I'm 8 weeks out from the Vancouver Island Showdown Pro/Am but to be honest I have my doubts on if it will happen or not? That said I will go through my Contest Prep either way because in these crazy times we need a reason to get up in the morning and find some motivation to be better then we where the day before.

Currently I weigh 193 pounds which is rather on the low side but I feel I am leaner and holding more muscle than usual going into my contest prep. The cleanse I did using the Chlorine Dioxide really cleaned me out and I would say it has reduced my overall weight by about 3-5 pounds which was all in my digestive tract.

The goal will be to slowly put on muscle while reducing body fat starting with higher calories and then reducing them every two week as required. I hope to actually weigh about the same if not a bit more going into the show when all is said and done...

I will be posting weekly check ins for now so you can follow along with my progress and as I get closer there will be more updates as things get more exciting, well at least I hope so!

Chlorine Dioxide MMS for Water Purification and Some Other Cool Stuff

WHAT DO YOU KNOW? YOUTUBE TOOK IT DOWN, BIG SURPRISE!

Chlorine Dioxide or the version I bought (MMS) Miracle Mineral Solution is an oxidant that is known for it's purification and anti virus, bacteria, fungi and parasitic uses in water and perhaps even humans. It has been used for decades in water treatment and can even be bought easily as a water purifying treatment.

What you can not say about Chlorine Dioxide or MMS is that it can be used as a treatment for illnesses or disease because if you do you will most likely get your video banned, your post fact checked or even deleted, you even risk being banished from YouTube and other social media platforms so be very careful what say about Chlorine Dioxide / MMS and what organizations you may upset.

To be honest the fact that Chlorine Dioxide / MMS is so taboo is maybe what made me even more interested in it since I have come to realize that the more information is suppressed, the more damaging it must be to someone or some organization that may have something to lose if this new found information was made public knowledge.

For instance, if there was something out there that cost only pennies per day and was able to cure or at least help significantly with a bunch of illnesses and diseases, and let's say you where a big pharmaceutical company that made billions from selling medications for these same ailments that could be cured or managed again for the cost of a daily vitamin? Well you would probably do what ever it took to make that very costly problem disappear... Just saying hypothetically of course.

But I digress...

In this video I talk about what I experienced when taking Chlorine Dioxide / MMS for a month, how it helped with severe itchy skin all over my body and also did what I can only describe as a deep cleanse of my entire digestive system reducing about 4-5 pounds of permanent body weight from my digestive tract and actually decreasing my waist size.

I suggest you do your own research and come to your own conclusions about Chlorine Dioxide / MMS. Here are some useful links to help get you started...

Why is my Metabolism Slowing Down as I Get Older

I made a similar video several years back but wanted to add a little bit to it and I also strongly feel this is a question many people ask themselves and may even use as an excuse to submit to their current state of health.

The bottom line is in most cases it's not your Metabolism that slowed down, it's you that has slowed down, combine that with more of a focus on comfort food and access to eating, maybe a little bit too much wine or beer in the evening and now with a lot more people sitting around at home because of Covid restrictions... Well it has become even easier to blame the gradual or even fast weight gain on some sort of change in your metabolism.

So no I am not going to discuss how you can magically speed up your metabolism since that is not the root of the problem, I do discuss how even small changes in your lifestyle can make it seem like your metabolism has slowed down and what you can do to fix that with not even that much effort.

Enjoy the show!

Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone Set Practical Review

As with most of the new tech I purchase or acquire that I will be using in my YouTube Videos for either my GetFitOver40 or ReplicaAirguns YouTube channels, I generally like to do some sort of a practical review for the item. In this case I take a look at the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone Set which is a pair of wireless transmitters that pair with a single dedicated receiver allowing me to quickly and easily capture good quality audio for my YouTube Videos.

For the past couple of years my go to microphone setup for my YouTube Video was to use a generic lapel mic connected to my Samsung Galaxy Smartphone recording into an audio program. I would then send the audio file via dropbox to my computer where I would then line up the audio file with the video file in my video editing software to get a much higher quality and more clear voice recording versus what the camera mic would be able to capture.

This system has been working fairly well for me but required a somewhat cumbersome lapel cable and of course my bulky Smarphone in my pocket at all times but did allow me to be as far away from the camera as I wanted without any interference or loss of audio clarity.

After playing around with the Synco G1 (A2) Wireless Microphone System I have determined I will most likely simply be clipping the transmitter onto my shirt without the lavaliere mic plugged in and transmitting the audio into either my Samsung Smartphone or my iPad where I can then again dropbox the audio file to wherever I plan on editing the video.

This video was kind of a test to see how everything sounded in terms of the lapel mic versus the built in mic. What settings to use and how distance effected the audio signal and quality. Unfortunately the lapel mic was a bit close to my voice causing some distortion to occur but you can still hear what I am saying no problem. In the future I would place the lapel mic a bit further away from my voice lower down on my shirt or simply use the built in mic as it was not as sensitive to this distortion and seemed to handle louder volume much better than the lapel mic.

Here are some of the specifications for those that like that sort of info :)
