Scooped Up a DJI Mavic Mini 1 for Even More Immersive Adventure Content

I have featured my HoverAir X1 which is basically a flying selfi camera that can do some of what a drone does but is limited to a much shorter range and for the most part it uses preset autonomous flight modes for stuff like zooming out, zooming up, hovering in place and motion tracking, following while tracking and front facing video while tracking. Where the HoverAir X1 does not do well in terms of being drone-like is controlling it manually as it does not come with a remote control so you have to use the smart phone app and control it that way which is not as precise or fast as a dedicated remote controller

That all said I wanted to add in a more traditional drone so I can take those cinematic shots for my future adventure videos and capture some of the beautiful scenery I encounter on my journeys.

I decided to get an older DJI Drone as DJI is the gold standard and in most cases a DJI Drone even a few years old is going to be way better than a new non DJI Drone. So for around $300 I can get something like the DJI Mavic Min that came out in 2019 but still holds its own in terms of video quality and features compares to what you can get for a lot more money new now. Sure the new stuff can do higher resolutions video and has new features like crash detection and better range but I don't necessarily need all of that, I prefer to keep more money in my wallet.

In this video I show you what around $300 can get you in the used drone market, I talk a bit about the DJI Mavic Mini and all it can do. And I of course show you some video I shot in my backyard testing out the DJI Mavic Mini.

10 Weeks on TRT - Get Fit Over 40

My last update was almost 5-6 weeks ago so I guess I better get a TRT progress video out for everyone. To be honest I noticed the most changes after around the first month and then things slowed down and progress is still happening but much slower now. I am only on 100mg of Testosterone per week with the goal to be i the middle natural Testosterone ranges so I don't expect to get super jacked on this fairly low TRT dose, the goal is really to feel better and at least have a chance in the gym getting stronger and being able to recover between workouts.

When I started my TRT I was around 185 pounds and fairly lean I would say, right now I am around 192-194 depending on the day and I am still relatively lean but I do want to get closer to 190 with perhaps a bit more muscle but I would like to get rid of some of the hard to lose fluff in the mid section.

I feel pretty good overall, even my shoulders are coming around and my overall energy and mood are good, sex drive I would say is back to about the way it was but not like when I was 20 ;)

I finish the video off with some update posing with a couple comparisons to when I started 10 weeks ago so you can hopefully see some positive changes...

Eevee's Cypress Electric Scooter Unboxing Review

Can you imagine, I bought yet another PEV (Personal Electric Vehicle). This time I took advantage of a great deal and purchased an Electric Scooter from Eevee's Online. Eevee's had a promotion on for their Cypress Branded Electric Scooter selling it for $499 rather than the regular price of $1199. What a deal $700 off!

Here are some specifications for the Eevee's Cypress Electric Scooter:

  • Single 600W hub motor (1200W peak power).
  • 720Wh 48V Internal Battery.
  • Top speed up to 50km/h. (More like 45km/h).
  • Three speed/power settings: Eco - Drive - Sport.
  • 35-45km max range (We will find out).
  • 58 pounds total weight.
  • Solid rubber 4 inch wide tires (Puncture proof).
  • Dual front and rear suspension (Very stiff indeed!)
  • Somewhat water resistant.

So why another PEV? Well for one, I simply can't help myself as I really love ripping around on just about anything with an electric motor in it. I also wanted something easier to transport around and take on trips as compared to my eBike which my wife really enjoys riding but when bringing an eBike is not practical, then a mid sized Electric Scooter is a better fit literally.

In this preview unboxing video I open the box up, figure out how to get the Eevee's Cypress Electric Scooter out, set it up and powered it on. Enjoy watching me stumble through the process...

Noel Booth Park Langley Dog Walk HoverAir X1

I am planning on starting a series of videos that I will be creating on the channel that will be adventure based. Where I plan to cover my outdoor adventures either on my own or with family and friends. I want to capture this content in an interesting way using a variety of cameras ranging from action cameras, to 360 cameras, to drones and I may even use my smartphone camera once in a while?

Content will range from walks and hikes in parks and or destinations to exhilarating rides on one of many of my many electric personal vehicles.

Here is a quick video of my Wife Nicole and I out walking the puppers at Noel Booth Park in Langley right near our house that hopefully gives you an idea of things to come.

Linner Nova Lite and Mercury OTC Earbuds Hearing Aids Review

First off I want to thank Linner for sending me out the Linner Nova Lite Earbuds and the Linner Mercury OTC Hearing Aids for review. I did reach out to them and told them about my personal hearing loss and how I would like to give their products a try and see if they help me.

My hearing loss happened over 20 years ago as a result of nerve damage to the low frequency nerve in my right ear. We have 3 nerves in each ear, one for low frequency, one for mid and one for high. Because of the nerve damage (most likely caused by a virus), I do not hear low frequencies and even low mid frequencies in my right ear. What I do hear is more of a crunching sound in those lower audio ranges.

The human brain does a fantastic job of getting use to its situations and so for the most part now, even without any type of hearing aid, I do pretty well by using my left ear a bit more and I also use a bit of lip reading to help me figure out what people are saying especially in loud surroundings.

When I found out about the Linner product line I was intrigued to say the least as to if this product could help out a hearing situation like mine.

The two products Linner sent me are designed to be used a little bit differently from one another.

The Linner Nova Lite is essentially an earbud with the added ability to act as hearing aids on demand, you get great audio when using them to listen to music but then when music is not playing they essentially turn into hearing aids with a bunch of preset audio configurations to help cancel out background noises while enhancing voices. There are 4 presets for different environment settings. As expected the Linner Nova Lites connect to your Smart Phone via BT but can be used on their own as OTC Hearing aids enhancing and amplifying the outside world.

The Linner Mercury is a dedicated OTC (Over the Counter) Hearing Aid that does not have BT or pair with a Smart Phone. They are strictly deigned to enhance the outside world sounds and do this by adjusting the volume for each ear along with also having 3 different modes that effect the tone more than anything. The Linner Mercury’s have more of a hearing aid look to them rather than an earbud but they are fairly discreet hiding behind the ears more or less.

In this video I go into how each of these products worked for me using them in a variety of situations. For the most part I used the Linner Nova Lites when I was at the gym or required audio for my Smart Phone but they can be used either way, as an earbud or a dedicated Hearing Aid. I tended to use the Linner Mercurys when out and about doing stuff like going for a walk or watching a movie at home.

Both of these products from Linner take some getting use to as the world does sound a lot different when wearing them. It kind of sounds artificial at first but over time you adapt to the new way the world sounds. For sure both these products can enhance your hearing and help in a variety of environments and as a stand alone BT Earbud the Linner Nova Lites also really sound great!

As a general rule of thumb, if you want one device that does it all then go for the Linner Nova Lites as they are great earbuds with the added ability to enhance real world audio to help people with hearing deficiencies. The Linner Mercury OTC Hearing Aids are exactly what they sound like, dedicated hearing aids but with some added circuitry that not only amplifies the outside world but also cancels out unwanted noise while enhancing what you really need to hear.

Linner Nova Light Features & Specifications:

*Lite version does not come with the Linner Connect which is an audio adapter for TV or to use as a Microphone.

Audio Comparison (Four Modes).
Before Wearing Linner Nova: Hearing loss can affect communication and participation in activities. After Wearing Linner Nova: Linner Nova hearing aids can improve communication and participation by amplifying sounds, reducing noise, and offering customizable settings through the LINNER app.

4 Sound Modes.
NOVA offers four different audio modes to meet your needs from home to the outdoors. Users can select the mode based on their location and what they want to hear. The human voice and background noise will be processed differently for each mode to suit the actual environment. For example, the DIALOGUE MODE will have the most human voice enhancement and the least background noise. On the other hand, the OUTDOOR MODE will have the most background noise and the least human voice enhancement

Effortless Conversation.
LINNER NOVA is specially optimized for conversations. After months of speaker sampling, acoustic tuning, and prototype testing, NOVA ensures clear conversations no matter if you are at home, in a crowded street, or a noisy restaurant. With a built-in high-speed chipset, NOVA captures ambient sound at a 16KHz sampling rate and intelligently separates human voice from background sound. This allows NOVA to reduce background noise to the maximum while maintaining a natural and crystal clear human voice.

Hands-free Call.
Receiving calls and listening to the latest hits has never been easier. LINNER Nova supports Bluetooth 5.2 and allows the user to control the smart hearing aids via an app. With the multi-environment function, you can manage your daily activities right at your fingertips.

Hearing Enhancement.
16-Channels Digital Processor, Beam-forming Environment Noise Reduction, Feedback Suppression. 2-mic beam-forming bringing up to 42dB enhancement and directional voice pick-up. Sound amplification is key parameter. LINNER NOVA can enhance up to 42dB which compensates moderate level of hearing loss. Need to hear a designated person’s sound in a meeting or restaurant? LINNER NOVA adopts two mic beam-forming technology to allow users to focus on the sound from the front, suppressing the sound from the left and right and making it less noticeable.

Noise filtered by technology - enhance the Sound not the Noise.
Powered by a 16-channel signal system, LINNER NOVA can efficiently process sounds by frequency into various channels such as human voice, instruments, pet barking, etc. Each channel is adapted to its own WDRC adjustment, providing the user with a customized listening experience with greater accuracy and authenticity. These advanced technologies enable the precise transmission of active sounds to users.

IPX5 Water-resistant In-ear detection and AFC.
Wearing aids in the rain or going for a jog? No worries. With an IPX5 waterproof coating, you can wear LINNER Nova in most weather conditions. Another pain point is acoustic feedback which can be indeed annoying. Acoustic feedback cancellation algorithms are embedded to keep howling away.

Qi compatible Wireless charging.
LINNER Nova lite has a long battery life and offers up to 40 hours of hearing enhancement time. It is compatible with brand-limited wireless charging. Users can place Nova on a wireless pad for a super-convenient charge boost. *Wireless charger is not included.

Anti-Bacteria.
UV-C Antibacterial Light. Cleaning and maintaining your LINNER Nova hearing buds has never been easier! With the built-in UV-C light in the charging case, the hearing buds will undergo an autonomous cleanse once you put them in the case. Up to 99.93% bacteria suppression and 99.99%sterilization
