Get Fit Over 40 December 2018 Update Video

This video focuses on three new products I will be receiving in the near future, two of them to help me make my YouTube videos and one new product to help me out with tracking my fitness. I also talk a bit about what it takes or perhaps I should say what a person needs to make these YouTube videos. Sure you can make a YouTube Video with a basic camera and some sort of topic people will want to listen to but having the right gear to capture higher quality videos does help a lot.

First up on my list of new cool YouTube Video recording devices is the FiFine KO26, this is a wireless hand held Mic that uses a USB dongle styled receiver you can plug into a computer or even a SmartPhone with the correct adaptor. I plan to use the FiFine KO2 Wireless USB Hand Held Mic for on camera interview type situations.

Another product coming that will help me out with my YouTube videos is the DJI OSMO Pocket. You really need to see this thing to understand all that it can do and how small it really is. But in short, it's a mini self contained video recording unit that shoots supper smooth video using its 4k 60 frame per second built in camera mounted on a three access gimble. And yes the DJI OSMO Pocket does fit in your pocket!

Lastly I mention a new Smart Fitness Watch that I ordered to take the place of my Amazfit Stratos. It's not that I am unhappy with my Amazfit Stratos, it's actually the other way around! I am so pleased with my Amazfit Stratos that I want to try out the latest and greatest Amazfit Verge Smart Fitness Watch from Amazfit and see what improvements they have made...

Watch my Get Fit Over 40 December 2018 Update Video for all the details!

TRT - How Much is Too Much?

One of the more common questions asked by people about TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) is how much should they be taking? This is a question asked by people interested in looking into TRT for the first time and even for people that have been on TRT for a while.

A person new to TRT will obviously have a lot of questions since everything is new, while a person that has been on TRT for some time will wonder if their dose is the right amount for them. After all if they feel so much better on TRT then why not try a little bit more and see if they can get even more of those great results!

More is not always better and sometimes the saying "Less is More" is very true when it comes to TRT. There is a range of Testosterone that we should be within, having too little Testosterone in our bodies can cause problems but so can having too much Testosterone. We really want to be in that safe normal but on the high normal range for the best benefits from TRT with the least amount of side effects. Once Testosterone levels start to get too high in our bodies, our natural safety system kicks into effect and tries to adjust or balance out the other hormones like Estrogen and DHT. When you introduce Testosterone into your body some of it converts into Estrogen and DHT which raises Estrogen and DHT levels along with your Testosterone levels. Elevated Estrogen can make you retain water which can raise your blood pressure and also make you feel lethargic and moody and even make you hold on to body fat. If your DHT is on the high side it can speed up any hereditary balding yo may have and also cause skin problems like acne. All side effects we don't want to have.

Simply by keeping your Testosterone in the normal ranges will help to make sure these side effects don't happen. I talk about a lot more in my YouTube video on "TRT - How Much is Too Much?" so make sure to watch it for all the info I have to offer.

Promixx iX-R Vortex Mixer Review - Update

This is more of an Update than a Full Review but read on to find out what the difference is between the new updated Promixx iX-R Vortex Mixer versus the older Promixx 2.0 I reviewed over two years ago. In that earlier Promixx 2.0 review I go into a lot of details including some video of me mixing up some protein powder and how to thoroughly clean your Promixx Vortex Mixer.

Let's quickly go over some of the things that are the same with both the Promixx iX-R and Promixx 2.0 Vortex Mixers:

  • They both have high torque 16,000 rpm motors with rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries capable of mixing up to 20 beverage before requiring a recharge.
  • They both have the specially designed X-Shape blade which creates a perfect vortex to effectively blend whey proteins, nutritional supplements and liquids.
  • They are both 100% BPA & DEHP-Free.
  • They have detachable Motor base for improved portability & easy cleaning.
  • Have a 600ml capacity bottle with an ergonomic design for active users.

Here is the low down on what's been changed or improved on the new Promixx iX-R Vortex Mixer. For one they made some improvements on the USB charging port. The old Promixx port used a proprietary USB cable and my rubber port cover came off almost immediately. On the new Promixx iX-R Vortex Mixer, the rubber port cover is more durable and much easier to open up and the cable is now universal being that it uses a standard micro USB cable.

The Promixx iX-R Vortex has a newly designed lid that you can attach a strap to and the NUTRiPOD system has been simplified for easier use. The motor is now more powerful with higher torque quickly mixing your drinks in seconds with no clumps or bumps. You can even mix up scrambled eggs, cocktails, gravy and even baby formula with it!

The Promixx iX-R Vortex Mixer has some nice updates with it's latest version but best of all you still get an awesome portable self powered mixer you can take anywhere and make super smooth and nutritious beverages at home or on the go.

Carnivore Diet Update - 1.5 Month Follow-up - Workout at End of Video

So I have been on the Carnivore Diet now for a little bit over 1.5 months. For the first month stuck to the Carnivore Diet fairly strictly, sticking mostly with meat and some dairy products. After the month was up I did allow myself to add in some carbs on the weekends but still stayed strict with the Carnivore Diet Monday to Friday. I also tried not to go too overboard with the carbs on the weekend as I noticed if I did eat a lot of carbs then I would bloat up and retain water almost right away.

Watch my video for all the details about what I experienced While trying out the Carnivore Diet for a month straight. Overall I feel much better on the Carnivore Diet in terms of sustained energy, my stomach feels a lot better with virtually no bloating or water retention while even being able to lose some fat even while eating pretty much what I want to, as long as it's animal based! In terms of feeling like I'm on a Diet, this is as good as it gets and I feel is a very sustainable and flexible eating program to be on longer term.

Studio Sashiko Microblading Review with @Chaybrows

I made a visit back to Studio Sashiko but this time it was for an appointment made for my wife Nicole. We where fortunate to be booked in with Chay Liddell @chaybrows for my wife's eyebrow Microblading.

Microblading of the eyebrows is a process where the technician etches fine lines in your eyebrows while using pigment similar to a tattoo but more suitable for cosmetic purposes. The newly etched lines simulate real hairs and can be used to fill in or even create eyebrows that look ultra realistic. This is a perfect solution for women (and men) with faint or even non existent eyebrows as an alternative to having to draw or fill them in using standard cosmetics.

Eyebrow Microblading is not permanent but generally will last a good 1-2 years before a touchup is required. This is good since eyebrow shapes and trends tend to change over time from thin to full and back again.

Make sure to watch my YouTube video of a condensed but start to finish look at the process of Microblading Eyebrows with Chay Liddell @chaybrows at Studio Sashiko.

And for the guys if your looking to get your hairline back then checkout the amazing SMP work done by Chay's husband Shannon Liddell @theinkbarber
